Tree Removal in Brisbane & South East Queensland

Controlled lowers, tidy rigging, and a crew that knows how SEQ storms stress older canopies.

When removal is the sensible option

Some trees reach a point where retention work cannot restore a safe structure. Others conflict with new extensions, solar arrays, or underground services. Our job is to remove them without drama, using ropes, friction devices, and, when the site allows, an EWP to keep cuts predictable.

Across Brisbane and South East Queensland we regularly work above colourbond fences, tight side paths, and pools lined with aluminium coping. We plan the sequence before we climb: which pieces travel vertically, which ones need a tag line, and where the chipper can sit without tearing up your turf.

What is involved

Every removal starts with a site walk. We confirm overhead power lines, neighbour roofs, and pedestrian access. If the tree sits on a boundary, we talk you through talking to the neighbour early so everyone knows the day’s plan.

Climbers set high anchor points, strip the outer canopy, then work down the stem in manageable sections. Ground crew manage slack, guide pieces into the drop zone, and feed the chipper. Larger timber can be blocked for firewood or removed entirely, your call, quoted upfront.

What to expect on the day

We arrive within the agreed window, set out signs if the footpath is busy, and run a quick safety chat with anyone onsite. Expect noise from saws and the chipper, plus the occasional thump as a block lands in the laydown area, always controlled.

Before we leave, we rake loose chips, blow paved areas, and walk you through any stump options. If council paperwork is required for protected vegetation, we point you to the relevant Brisbane City Council or local authority forms and can supply supporting photos.

Why owners choose us

Qualified rigging

Climbing and EWP credentials mean we pick the right tool for the tree, not just the quickest cut.

Neighbour-aware

We communicate clearly when branches overhang another property and keep debris on your side of the fence.

Clean handover

Mulch stays or goes, timber is stacked neatly, and your kerb is left presentable for bin night.

Common questions

Do I need council approval to remove a tree in Brisbane?

Many suburbs fall under Brisbane City Council’s vegetation protection codes. Whether you need a permit depends on species, trunk diameter, and zoning. We help you photograph the tree and note measurements so you can lodge accurate information with council before work begins.

How close can you remove a tree to my house?

Very close, provided we can establish solid anchor points and control each section with ropes. Queensland’s Work Health and Safety laws guide how we exclude people from drop zones; we will mark zones and ask that pets and kids stay inside during critical lowers.

What happens to the green waste after removal?

Branches are chipped on site unless you request rounds for firewood. Chips can mulch garden beds or we can remove everything for composting at a licensed facility. Trunk wood can be left cut to length for your splitter or taken away, quoted as part of the job.
